President Droupadi Murmu Meets Gaganyaan Team at Rashtrapati Bhavan

President Droupadi Murmu today interacted with members of India’s Gaganyaan mission team at Rashtrapati Bhavan. The meeting highlighted India’s ambitious strides in human spaceflight and the country’s preparedness for upcoming space milestones.

President Murmu Gaganyaan meeting: Interaction with astronauts

Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla, who recently participated in space training, called on the President and shared his experiences. He discussed insights from his training and preparations for India’s first human spaceflight mission.

The President also interacted with Group Captain Prasanth Balakrishnan Nair and Group Captain Punyashlok Biswal, both part of the Gaganyaan astronaut team.

ISRO leadership joins the interaction

Alongside the astronauts, ISRO Chairman and Secretary, Department of Space, Dr. V Narayanan, and Director of the Human Space Flight Centre, Dinesh Kumar Singh, were present during the meeting.

President Murmu extended her best wishes to the entire team, praising their dedication and commitment to advancing India’s space ambitions.

Encouragement for the Gaganyaan Mission

The President expressed confidence in India’s capabilities and encouraged the astronauts and ISRO scientists to achieve success in the Gaganyaan Mission. She underscored the importance of the mission for India’s global standing in space exploration.
