Dhenkanal: A tragic incident has shaken a rural community in Odisha after three members of the same family reportedly died following a suspected food-related illness in Itap village, which falls under the jurisdiction of Kantabania police station. According to preliminary information, the victims were Antaryami Sahu’s wife and their two young sons, identified as Pintu Sahu and Lintu Sahu. All three reportedly fell seriously ill shortly after consuming a home-cooked meal that included chicken curry and spinach. Family members noticed their condition worsening rapidly, prompting an urgent attempt to save them.
Relatives rushed the unconscious trio to Angul District Headquarters Hospital. However, doctors on duty examined them and declared all three brought dead, leaving the family and villagers in deep shock and grief.

Hospital sources confirmed that the bodies of the woman and her two sons have been kept at the hospital mortuary for post-mortem examination.
