Bhubaneswar: Traffic Advisory Released For Rukuna Rathayatra Of Lord Lingaraj

Bhubaneswar: During the Ashokastami Car Festival, commonly known as the Rukuna Rathyatra of Lord Lingaraj in Bhubaneswar, traffic restrictions will be enforced tomorrow and the day after. To facilitate smooth movement, the Commissionerate Police has issued a Traffic Advisory for those traveling along the Ratha road.

The Rukuna Rathyatra will take place on April 5 and 6, followed by the return car festival on April 9 and 10. During these celebrations, specific traffic regulations will be in place.

According to the advisory, vehicular movement will be restricted on the Ratha road from Mausi Maa Chhaka, with diversions directed towards either Museum Chowk or Vivekananda Marg. Additionally, no vehicles will be allowed on Ratha road from various points, including Barika Sahi lane, Maharana Sahi lane, Gosagareswar Chhaka, Sital Sasthi lane, Tinimundia Chhaka, Harchandi lane, Muna Medical lane, Punama Gate lane, and any other connecting lanes or by-lanes.

Furthermore, vehicles from Rath Khalaa will be redirected towards Bata Mahadev temple. However, emergency vehicles such as police, fire, and ambulances will be exempt from these restrictions.

The Commissionerate Police of Bhubaneswar-Cuttack has urged the public to plan their travel accordingly during these days to avoid inconvenience.
