PM Modi Arrives in Croatia on Historic First Visit by an Indian Prime Minister

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will arrive in Zagreb, Croatia, this afternoon on a historic visit, marking the first-ever official trip by an Indian Prime Minister to the Central and Southeast European nation. The visit highlights India’s growing diplomatic and economic engagement with emerging partners in Europe.

During his visit, PM Modi will hold delegation-level discussions with Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković. The meeting is expected to result in the signing of four bilateral agreements covering key sectors including:

  • Agriculture
  • Culture
  • Education

These agreements are expected to boost cooperation between the two nations and promote mutual development in strategic areas.

This landmark visit is expected to deepen India–Croatia diplomatic relations and open new avenues for economic, educational, cultural, and scientific cooperation. It also reflects India’s continued outreach to nations across Central and Southeast Europe, reinforcing its global diplomatic footprint.
