IPL 2025 KKR vs SRH: KKR mocks Travis Head following SRH’s another failure

Published on

IPL 2025 KKR vs SRH: Following a thrilling victory against the Sunrisers Hyderabad on Thursday at Eden Gardens in Kolkata, the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) took to X and criticized Travis Head for his poor performance this IPL season. KKR defeated SRH by 80 runs, resulting in Hyderabad’s third consecutive defeat. Travis Head was eliminated after scoring only 4 runs against KKR.

The KKR published a photo of Travis Head with his scoreboard reading 0-0-4. The photo was accompanied by the statement ‘Head-ing towards the business, straight from the start’.

Captain Pat Cummins commented on SRH’s performance, saying the team needed to be more realistic. He stated that the team may have to reflect on what they may have done better given their possibilities. “Our batters are at their finest when they take the game on, but in retrospect, we could have made better decisions. It was primarily due to our fielding; generally, our bowling was satisfactory. “We should have taken a few catches and stopped them a little earlier,” Cummins admitted.

Hyderabad scored 286 runs in the first match of the IPL 2025 season against the Rajasthan Royals, but they have struggled to create an impression since then. According to SRH, they began well but were unable to maintain it. SRH wilted under the weight of the KKR bowling onslaught. Vaibhav Arora and Harshit Rana wrecked SRH’s top order, leaving the middle and lower orders exposed. Kamindu Mendis (27) gave the squad hope but couldn’t finish the innings. Varun Chakravarthy (3 wickets) dismissed SRH for 120 runs in just 16.4 overs.
