Bangalore: New Covid Guidelines Masks Mandatory : India has been alerted at a time when the corona epidemic is reviving in many countries including China. Masks are mandatory in cinemas, schools and universities. Karnataka Health Minister K Sudhakar made it clear that masks must be worn in pubs, restaurants and bars during New Year celebrations. He said New Year celebrations will be allowed until 1.00 am. Corona is nothing to worry about and it is recommended to take reasonable precautions. We ask pregnant women, children, the elderly and people with health problems not to go to crowded places.

Dr. K Sudhakar, Health and Family Welfare Minister, Karnataka, said, “Though there is no need to panic, precautionary measures need to be taken. We encourage citizens to wear masks and shoot. It should also be mandatory to wear face masks in closed spaces.”

The herd immunity that has already been achieved in the country and the effectiveness of the vaccines will ensure citizens and there is no need to panic,” he added.

The state has also increased testing for Covid from 2,000-3,000 tests to 4,000-5,000 tests. The state government will meet late on Monday to assess Covid preparedness and measures to be taken.
