LIC warns policyholders against fake information on penalty charges for KYC updation

Mumbai: Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) has issued a warning to policyholders on Wednesday. LIC has denied reports circulating on social media that there will be a penalty if the Know Your Customer (KYC) details are not updated. No penalty charges will be charged if policyholders do not update their KYC details. LIC warns policyholders against fake. We warn policyholders not to believe such propaganda circulating on social networks. Policyholders are informed via its official microblogging site Twitter handle that they should not share their personal information or give documents to anybody.

LIC has clarified that policyholders are continuously encouraged to update their KYC details but they will not be charged any penalty charges if they do not update their KYC details. LIC requires policyholders to update their KYC details through official platforms.

Again LIC warns policyholders against fake information. There are several ways to update KYC details of LIC policyholders. LIC recommends visiting LIC official website or calling LIC customer care number 022 68276827 for details. Official LIC Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube channels should be followed. In case of any doubt contact LIC representative or the nearest LIC branch.
