BHUBANESWAR: The Odisha electoral roll revision exercise has entered a crucial phase as Senior Deputy Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar Bharati begins a two-day visit to the state to review the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.

The visit aims to assess progress, monitor implementation and ensure the timely completion of the voter verification exercise across Odisha.

During his visit, Bharati is scheduled to hold meetings with district collectors and electoral registration officers from across the state.

Statewide coverage reached 99.14 percent.

Once digitisation is completed, authorities will begin deleting records of deceased voters and those who have permanently migrated.

Chief Minister Participates in SIR Campaign

Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi also participated in the campaign by filling out his own enumeration form at Raikala village in Keonjhar district.

Majhi urged citizens to cooperate with district administrations and Booth Level Officers during door-to-door verification, stressing the importance of maintaining a flawless and transparent voters’ list.
